Groundswell features speakers and resources from some of the leading authorities on responding to homosexuality, confronting the gay agenda, and defending religious liberties in the public forum.

Mike Goeke

Mike Goeke is the Vice President of Operations for Exodus International headquartered in Orlando, Florida. Founded in 1976, Exodus is the largest evangelical organization dealing with homosexual issues in the world. Exodus is comprised of more than 125 professional mental health and church-based member agencies – a growing network of former homosexuals who are dedicated to sharing the transforming power of Jesus Christ to those affected by unwanted homosexuality.

Mike’s personal struggle with homosexuality almost destroyed him and his marriage. Ultimately, God’s healing and restoration birthed a passion and desire to share the hope for healing and change to others struggling with unwanted same-sex attraction.

Mike’s goal is to equip the local church to address the issue of homosexuality with boldness and love. Mike has shared his testimony with churches across the country and has worked to educate many pastors and laypersons on this critical social and spiritual issue. He is a frequent speaker on many relational topics including homosexuality and sexual integrity. Prior to coming to Exodus, Mike served as Senior Associate Pastor of Stonegate Fellowship Church in Midland, Texas.

Mike also has a background in law specializing in commercial oil & gas litigation.

Mike and his wife, Stephanie, live in Orlando, Florida with their three children, Margaret, Frances and Peter.

Scott Davis

Scott Davis is the Director of Exodus Youth, a division of Exodus International that seeks to help young people struggling with same-sex attraction find life and healing in Christ. Founded in 1976, Exodus is the largest evangelical organization dealing with homosexual issues in the world. Exodus is comprised of more than 125 professional mental health and church-based member agencies across North America — a growing network of former homosexuals dedicated to sharing the transforming power of Jesus Christ to those affected by unwanted homosexuality.

Scott is responsible for creating and promoting ideas and events that communicate God’s love and healing to young people who struggle with homosexuality. He educates and trains youth pastors and community leaders on this issue and currently, oversees the Groundswell Conference — a nationwide training conference that equips community leaders with a powerful, redemptive response to the growing crisis of pro-gay initiatives in schools.

Prior to coming to Exodus, Scott served on the pastoral team of New Life Campus Fellowship, a dynamic student church in Blacksburg, Virginia. Scott's background as a campus pastor and friend to many young men who struggled with unwanted same-sex attraction allowed him to see, firsthand, the need to communicate the hope of transformation.

Scott is a writer and frequent speaker at churches and conferences, including the Teen Mission Conference and Cornerstone Music Festival. Scott’s goal is to encourage the evangelical church to reach out to young people who struggle with homosexuality with radical grace and unswerving truthfulness.

Scott graduated magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.

He and his wife, Caryn, make their home in Orlando, Florida.
